After your treatment, your skin may appear fresher, smoother and brighter, with a more refined appearance. Facial muscles will be lifted depending on the strength chosen. Results vary from person to person. A course of treatments may be recommended following your consultation, depending on your skin concerns and goals.
To help prepare your skin and minimise the risk of irritation, please follow these guidelines before your Feminine Empowerment Lift:
- Avoid exfoliation: Do not use facial scrubs, exfoliating acids (such as AHA/BHA) or retinol/retinoids for approximately 5–7 days before your appointment, or for the period advised during your consultation.
- Avoid other skin treatments: Please avoid waxing, microneedling, laser treatments, other chemical peels and facial treatments that may sensitise your skin before your appointment. The appropriate waiting period will depend on the treatment.
To protect your skin and support recovery:
- Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily and avoid unnecessary direct sun exposure.
- Use gentle skincare and keep your skin well moisturised.
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other potentially irritating active ingredients for the period advised.
- Avoid picking or peeling any flaking skin.
- Follow your personalised aftercare instructions.
Contraindications
Your safety always comes first. A consultation and skin assessment are required before treatment to establish whether the Feminine Empowerment Lift is suitable for you.
This combination treatment may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless each component has been specifically assessed and cleared for use.
- Have active cold sores, skin infections, open wounds or significant irritation in the treatment area.
- Have recently undergone another peel, laser treatment, microneedling or another procedure that requires recovery time.
- Have used isotretinoin recently or are taking medication that may affect skin healing.
- Have a history of significant reactions to chemical peels, skincare ingredients or treatment products.
- Suffer from epilepsy.
- Have metal plates in your body.
This list is not exhaustive. Certain medications, skin conditions and medical circumstances may require treatment to be postponed or avoided. Your suitability will be assessed individually, and the contraindications for each treatment component must be considered before proceeding.
If the treatment is not appropriate for your skin at the time of consultation, an alternative may be recommended.
